Tom was born 28 Aug 1830. He died 16 Mar 1865 in Governor's Island, New York from smallpox. He was buried in Cypress Cemetery, Long Island, New York.
He served in the Civil War twice. He enlisted, was discharged after three months and then rejoined in 1865. He served with Co. D, 1st Regt. at Antietam.
