Book Ratings

5 stars: One of my all-time favorites. Some are classics, some are just gems that I love.

4½ stars: While I think it way beyond good, I can't quite list it in my all-time-favorites.

4 stars: A book I really enjoyed. It doesn't mean it's great literature, just that I got a lot of enjoyment from it.

3½ stars: I enjoyed reading the book, and would recommend it to others.

3 stars: It was fine. It wouldn't come to mind immediately when making recommendations, but it passed an afternoon for me.

2½ stars: It was so-so. I didn't dislike it, but can't really say I liked it, either.

2 stars: I didn't enjoy this one. I probably got all the way through, but there may have been a bit of skimming in there somewhere.

1½ stars: At some point not very far in, I realized I had made a mistake, skimmed through the rest, and read the ending.

1 star: Why did I buy this? Not only didn't I finish it, I didn't care how it ended.

½ stars: I question the sanity of the publisher. It's inconceivable to me that anyone liked this.
