4733. Guy Burton WOODWARD (Dora Zell MECHLING , Jacob H. , John Jacob , Michael , John Theobald , Theobald) was born on 12 Mar 1909 in Ramona, California. He died on 12 Mar 1997 in Poway, California. He was buried in Ramona Nuevo Memory Gardens, Ramona, California.

As a young boy, he was up at 4:00 a.m. to help milk the cows before walking to school.  In high school, he was awarded the George Roques Trophy as an outstanding basketball player.  In 1933, he became a policeman and worked his way up to Chief of Police.  He was also affiliated with the FBI.  After retiring from law enforcement work, he gave his full time to collecting artifacts and mementos pertaining to the early days of Ramona.  He became president of the Ramona Pioneer Historical Society and eventually established a museum, which bears his name.  In 1991, the museum was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Guy married Geneva LARRIMORE in 1926.
