Marilyn was born Abt 1950 in Hudson, Massachusetts. She died 1 Dec 2007 in Marlborough, Massachusetts from cancer. She was buried 5 Dec 2007 in Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough, Massachusetts.

At the time of her death she had two grandsons, William and Joseph Lynch, but I don't know which child was the parent.

NORTHBOROUGH Marilyn (Mechlin) Botelho, 57, of 54 Bartlett Street, died Saturday, December 1, 2007, at Marlborough Hospital, following a brief battle with cancer.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 39 years, Joseph A. Botelho of Northborough; two daughters, Lee Anne Scott and her husband, Michael, of Cape Coral, FL and Christine Botelho and her fiance, Jeffrey Curtis, of Berlin; two grandsons, William and Joseph Lynch of Berlin; a sister, Judith Eichelberg of Norwich, Connecticut; a brother, George Mechlin and his wife, Yvonne, of Danielson, Connecticut; a sister-in-law, Sandra Moreau of Taunton; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Born in Hudson and a lifelong resident of Northborough, Marilyn was the daughter of the late John and Gladys (Wheeler) Mechlin.

Marilyn attended Northborough Public Schools, graduating from Algonquin Regional High School in 1968. She attended the Daniel Hale Fanning School of nursing in Worcester, earning her L.P.N. in 1986. Marilyn worked for the Coleman House in Northborough for the past 12 years up until her death. Prior to that, she worked for over 20 years at the former Thornton Nursing Home in Northborough.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 5th, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rice Memorial Baptist Church, 85 Lincoln Street, Northborough. Burial will follow in Howard Street Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, December 4th, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street (Rte. 20) Northborough. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The Coleman House Activities Fund, 112 West Main Street, Northborough, MA 01532.
