Joan Crofutt, 67, of Worthington, died Monday, July 12, 2010, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 17, 1942, in Kittanning, a daughter of the late Chester and Beatrice J. (Barth) Mechling. A 1960 graduate of Elderton High School, Joan enjoyed sewing and was a member of Philadelphia Church of God. Survivors include her son Michael & daughter, Michele Braughler; five grandchildren; twin sister, Jane Walt; brothers, Charles R. Mechling, Bernard E. (Jean) Mechling, and Larry W. (June) Mechling; stepsister, Alene (Ted) Smith, of Margaret; stepbrother, John (Donna) Weigand; and several nieces an nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne E. Crofutt; and two stepbrothers, Marlin Weigand and Eugene Weigand. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME in Worthington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Aaron Eagle of Philadelphia Church of God. Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates.
