Eugene was born 24 Mar 1909 in Glenford, Perry Co., Ohio. He died 26 Jan 1975 in Venice, Florida. He was buried in Highland Cemetery, Glenford, Perry Co., Ohio.
He graduated from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio in 1931 and received his Masters from Ohio State University. He was an athletic coach and a teacher in the Junction City, New Lexington and Chilicothe high schools in Ohio. He won the Berea Boots which was awarded annually to the most outstanding athlete.
