Dorothy Newcomer Mechling, 85, of East McKeesport, died Wednesday, May 17, 1995. She was born Jan. 23, 1910, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Elder Newcomer. She was a former employee of Westinghouse Electric Corp., East Pittsburgh. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, McKeesport, and the East Allegheny AARP Chapter 2580. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl M. Mechling; a sister, Mildred Anderson; and a brother, Sam Newcomer. She is survived by a son, Neal K. Mechling of North Huntingdon; and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the E.A. FORGIE FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. William D. Heaton, officiating. Entombment will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
